Halloween & Black Cats

Black cats have been related to Halloween for many, many years, most people think it is because their fur is the colour of night – which is, after all, when witchery and nastiness took place.

Some cat shelters, even to this day will not let people adopt black cats before Halloween because some people may hurt them.

Some owners of black cats will keep them inside the house just in case someone steals their beloved pet.

I think black cats are awesome, do you?

Here in the UK the black cat is thought of as lucky, which is good because a cat of any colour is simply, just a cat. They want to be loved by you and they will love you in return.

The best thing is to make sure your cat is safe this Halloween, so be mindful of candles in the pumpkins, as your cat could get seriously injured by the naked flame, might be safer to use plastic tea lights. Your treats could also harm your cat, chocolate is poison to animals and they will be very poorly, so the best thing to do is put them in a cupboard for safekeeping, unless you eat them all in one go! But you wouldn’t do that, would you? Remember – make sure you brush your teeth before bed!

Hope you have lots of fun this Halloween. Stay safe.
