Hedgehog Street.

A single hedgehog travels 1-2 km a night in search of food and usually ranges over an area of 10 hectares (24.7 acres).

Hedgehogs like to eat beetles, grubs, slugs and earthworms.

They also need sheltered places, such as hedgerows to nest, keep warm and to hide from danger.

A lot of fields and woods are being cut down and flattened to build more houses and schools, so the hedgehogs have no place to call home, so they travel to peoples back gardens to be safe and look for food.

Bow Ties For Dogs.

There was a big hurricane in Texas USA (United States Of America), which caused devastation across the land.

Some dogs can lose their families so many of them end up in a shelter waiting to be adopted by loving caring people.

Well, a young boy named Darius Brown who is 12 years old and wears bow ties every day, wanted to help the dogs get adopted. He loved dogs so much and didn’t like the thought of the dogs being sad, so he donated all of his bow ties to the shelter, every dog got to wear one and it made them look so cute and lovable that families adopted them.

How wonderful? what a truly lovely act of kindness.

After doing that for those dogs, Darius created his company https://m.facebook.com/beauxandpaws/ he designs and makes all his bow ties by hand and sends them to shelters.

Finns Law

Finn is a beautiful police dog and his parent is PC Dave Wardell.

Finn saved PC Dave life! Unfortunately Finn was very badly hurt and had to have a operation to make him better.

One day on October 5th 2016 PC Dave and Finn were running after a young man, as he had done something very bad, when they got closer, the man turned and attacked PC Dave and Finn with a knife, he hurt Finn in the head and chest and as the young man went to hurt PC Dave, Finn stopped him and kept hold of him until more police came to help.

The young man who did this didn’t get told off, PC Dave was very upset about this, so a campaign was started, this was to help animals have protection just like a human police person.

A lot of kind people signed the petition and through kindness and empathy from all those lovely people, the campaign won and a law passed through Westminster.

So, from 8th June 2019 Finns Law was actioned.

If anyone hurts a service animal (Dog or Horse) will now be punished, which is correct, as animals are very brave and no one should hurt them.

Finn is really well now and made a full recovery from his injuries, he lives with PC Dave and his family, which is great news, isn’t it?

Well Done Finn, you are a Hero!

Lucy’s Law

(picture from google)

Lucy was a little dog who was rescued from a puppy farm.

A puppy farm is a place where dogs are kept by people who do not care about them and just want to make money from selling all the puppies.

The place where the dogs are kept are in horrible conditions, they are dirty and cold, the dogs live in cages and are made to have lots and lots of puppies, they are not looked after or loved, they don’t often eat and are very hungry.

Some dogs are very poorly and the puppies are poorly too, and then they are sold to lovely people who do not know how badly they are treated and then sadly the puppy dies.

Lucy’s new mummy got her away from the puppy farm and looked after her and loved her so much, but they felt sad about all the other dogs left at those horrible puppy farms. Lucy’s mummy Lisa started a campaign to stop the poor treatment and to save dogs.

So a new law comes legal on the 6th April 2020 and it’s called “Lucy’s Law” and it means, animals are to be born and looked after in a safe place and only professional people who love animals and look after them really well can sell the puppies.

If you want to buy a puppy then you must go and see the puppy with its mother and you will see if they live in a lovely home and you can ask very important questions about your new best friend.

A message from me to you.

“When I look into the eyes of an animal, I see a living being, I see a friend, I feel a soul.”

A.D.Williams

Hey There!

Those words above explain exactly how I feel about animals, I love them and I hope you do too! and because I love them I came up with the idea of these ‘Love Your… Books’.

I saw a lot of horrible images and videos on social media and the internet and people were being nasty and very cruel to animals.

The animals were very scared but could not tell anyone because they cannot speak. My books will help you to understand that even though animals cannot speak to you and tell you that they are sad, feel poorly, are hurt or upset, it does not mean that they don’t feel all those emotions.

So, to be the best ever parent to your pets or any other animal, you must understand that your pet has feelings just like you!

  • Has anyone hurt you?
  • Has anyone been nasty to you?

If so,

  • Did you tell them to stop?
  • Did you tell an adult?

I hope you did because people should not do that and you should not do that to others.

Animals cannot tell anyone that they are being hurt by nasty people, so you have to speak up for them, the animal will be sad and scared and frightened, if you see anyone being cruel to any animal you must tell them to STOP!

You have to make sure you love and look after your pets really well. Remember! your pet loves you very much.

This is Dutchess and Millie, my fur babies, I am proud to be #theperfectpetparent
